Valentine's Day Tea.....

Valentine's Tea...
Friday, February 12, 2010......
This is the home of my friend Cindy. It is nestled in a beautiful lake community that I have blogged about before (Day Trippin Skaneateles) named Skaneateles, on one of the New York Finger Lakes with the same name.
Cindy stopped in the antique shop and while she was there handed me an invitation to her annual Valentine Tea and told me to bring a friend. Which I did. I asked my friend and co-worker, Judy to come to the party with me. Judy was excited to go, remembering that Cindy's home was featured in the newspaper one weekend.

Cindy's home (above) when we arrived.
My picture didn't turn out...so I 'borrowed' Judy's!
(See Judy's post with more pictures here.)

Cindy's home is filled with wonderful antiques and it's so cozy,
it feels like it gives you a warm hug when you enter.

Wandering through, you kind of forget that it's 2010 when you're in this home.
Hardly any modern conveniences are visible.

Cindy baked for weeks to get ready for the 400 invitees that would possibly attend her tea.
( Read Cindy's post about her 'Tea' preparations on her blog.)
The dining room table was over flowing with all the fixin's so that her guests could make homemade Valentine's for your Sweetheart.

Judy and I had a great time! We talked to some friends, we met some new friends and it was a pleasure to attend this annual Valentine Tea of Cindy's.
On another note...make sure you get to know Cindy...
there's something pretty special coming up for her.

AND: on even another note....remember, I'm looking for any bloggers and blog readers that are within driving distance of Syracuse. We're trying to set up a meet and greet for this summer! See the details below...

So...here's the plan...If you're within driving distance of Syracuse, comment on my blog...let me know where you're from and if you'd be interested in attending. Even (and especially) blog readers are welcome. Even those of you that don't have your own blog will be able to get together and exchange ideas and maybe we'll find more Upstate NY blogs! If you'd rather not comment...click my 'email' button and send me a note and I'll make sure that you are included.

Spread the word to your friends and let's see if we can get an UPSTATE NY blog network started!
We already have some interest...so talk it up!

I am pretty close in Rochester...but don't get over to Syracuse that often...but I might be able to depending on when, etc. Even if I don't make it I am sure it will be a great time!
